IGNOU VIEP Admissions 2014 Details
The IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) offers admission to a special course for all the +2 qualified candidates who wish to pursue higher education in Engineering. The VIEP (Vertically Integrated Engineering Programme) provides admission to all those candidates who have somehow missed on their studies in higher education due to their weak socio-economic conditions or low accessibility of engineering colleges in higher technical education under some rural areas. The Vertically Integrated Engineering Programme offers admissions in a four year part-time degree course in engineering for those who have a Diploma of three years duration.

Programmes under VIEP:
The main courses available under the Vertically Integrated Engineering Programme include the following:
1. Advanced Certificate Courses in Engineering
2. Diploma in Engineering
3. Bachelors Degree in Engineering
The students enrolled in the VIEP Programme of Engineering have the benefit of remaining a part of the programme while taking breaks from their studies for a short period to pursue employments and rejoining it after for obtaining more degrees of a higher level in it. A candidate can enroll in the Advanced Certificate course just after passing Class 10th /Class 12th and then leave the programme after its completions to join industry and then can rejoin the same programme for getting Diploma in Engineering or Bachelors Programme in Technology respectively.

Admission Fee:
Diploma Course: Rs.12500 /semester
Degree Course: Rs.25000/ semester
Application Procedure:
The candidates in order to apply for the VIEP should fill the online application form from the website of IGNOU. The candidates will have to pay the admission fee for both the Diploma and Degree courses through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of the IGNOU VIEP Students Fee A/C payable at New Delhi. The students can submit the same at the nearest chosen programme study centre for their enrollment in the concerned programme.
