GMAT Exam Pattern 2014 Structure of Paper and Syllabus of Study
GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is the qualifying management entrance exam conducted for admitting eligible candidates in the different B-Schools of India. Every year lot of candidates participates in the concerned entrance exam as conducted by the Pearson VUE at all the major cities of India. The exam is held every year in the months of September- December respectively. The candidates qualifying in the GMAT 2014 shall be provided admissions in the different management Institutes and B-Schools in India as well as abroad including the following – United States/ Europe and other foreign countries.

Eligibility for Exam:
The candidates eligible to apply for the GMAT includes all the Graduation/ Intermediate passed students from any UGC recognized colleges/ universities in India.
Exam Pattern:
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) shall be having three main parts on the following topics:
1) Analytical Writing Assessment
2) Quantitative Section and
3) Verbal Section
Distribution of Questions:
Analytical Writing Assessment- 1 Question
Integrated Reasoning- 12 Questions
Quantitative Aptitude- 37 Questions and
Verbal- 41 Questions
Total Time Allotted: 3 Hours and 30 Minutes
Time Allotted to different Sections:
Writing Section- Analysis of Issue Essay and Argument Essay- 30 Minutes each
Maths Section- 75 Minutes and
Verbal Section- 75 Minutes
Syllabus of Study:
Analytical Writing Assessment: essay based questions having justification and analysis; arguments and critical evaluation on the part of the applicants
Integrated Reasoning: Multi Source Reasoning; Table Analysis; Graphics Interpretation and Two Part Analysis
Quantitative Section: Problem Solving based questions and DS (Data Sufficiency) questions
Verbal Section: Critical Reasoning and Sentence Correction and Reading Comprehension based questions; Fundamental Skills in English
The standard of questions asked in the exam shall be of Class 10th level for all the sections including the Quantitative Section of Exam.
