Name of Exam: Common Admission Test

Conducting Authority: Indian Institute of Management

Courses of Admission: PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management)

Eligibility for Admissions:

The candidates should possess the Bachelors Degree in Commerce/ Science/ Arts / any other disciplines with a minimum of 50% marks / equivalent CGPA in the concerned qualifying examinations for this purpose.

Exam Pattern:

The CAT Exam is conducted in the online modes having objective type multiple choice based questions on the following main sections:

Section I: English (Verbal Ability)

Section II: Mathematics (Quantitative Ability)

Section III: DI (Data Interpretation)

Section IV: LR (Logical Reasoning)

Total Number of Questions: 60

Total Time Allotted: 155 Minutes

Marking Criteria:

The candidates will get three marks for each correct answer attempted by them while there will be deduction of the specified marks for the negative attempts made by the candidates. Hence, the candidates should attempt only those questions about which they are sure.

Date of Exam:

The CAT Exam is mostly organized in the months of October and November every year. There is a testing window of 21 days for all the exams.

The candidates should apply online from the concerned institute organizing the exam. The candidates are required to apply for the concerned slot at which they wish to give their examinations.
