Jamia Millia Islamia Exam 2014 for PhD Course Admissions Announced
The Jamia Millia Islamia has announced the dates for the entrance exam conducted to short list eligible applicants in the Doctoral Courses of the university. The candidates who wish to appear in the concerned entrance exam scheduled to be held on 9th August 2014 must apply for the same through the university in the manner as specified for this purpose before 15th July 2014.
The candidates should apply from the university website i.e. jmi.nic.in from 9th June 2014. The applicants must make sure that they are eligible for the concerned course before applying online.

Eligibility for Exam:
The applicants should be having a Masters Degree in the concerned discipline with a minimum of 55% marks obtained in the same from any recognized university. The applicants who have following qualifications shall be exempted from the entrance exam conducted by the University for Admissions: UGC/ CSIR NET/ JRF/ SLET/ valid GATE Score/ M.Phil Degrees in the subject concerned from any recognized university /institution for this purpose.
Applying Procedure for Admissions:
The candidates should download their admission forms from the university website at jmi.ac.in. The candidates should fill the forms downloaded and send the same to the concerned Department/ Centre of university along with a Demand Draft of Rs 1000 drawn in favor of the “Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia” payable at New Delhi.
Selection Process:
The applicants will be required to appear and qualify in the written exam and interview as conducted by the university for this purpose on the specified dates. The candidates exempted from appearing in the admission test will be required to make a research proposal and submit the same to the concerned University Department/ Centre in order to get short listed for the next selection round i.e. Interview.
