Banaras Hindu University is a central government University in Varanasi. One of the largest residential Universities in the whole of Asia was established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. The university’s main campus was built on the land donated by the Kashi Naresh, the then King of Varanasi (Banaras).
